Okun Progressives, a socio-political and economic association in Kogi state, has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to intervene in the dispute between Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, and Oluremi Tinubu, his Lagos central counterpart.
Last week, both lawmakers had an altercation during an executive session.
The issue has created uproar, with groups loyal to the legislators, staging protests and making different demands.
In a terse statement issued on Wednesday, the group asked Melaye and Tinubu, both members of the ruling party to resolve their differences.

“We urge the leadership of the senate to deploy the internal mechanisms of dispute resolution to resolve all the issues between these two senators.
“We call on the two senators to give peace a chance and concentrate on the values for which they were elected to represent their people.
