A group known as Kogi West Youth Leaders Forum has asked Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, to apologise to Oluremi Tinubu, the lawmaker representing Lagos central senatorial district.
Sesere Monday, spokesman of the group, accused Melaye of being fond of making unguarded remarks.
The youths, who said the lawmaker has brought embarrassment to his constituency, tendered an unreserved apology to Tinubu.
“We are very concerned because the uncultured and unguarded acts of Senator Melaye have become too many. This reminds us of his careless statement against womanhood and particularly against Governor Adams Oshiomole and his wife, his condemnable statements against former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the latest being his shameful and very unimaginable dirty words on Sen Oluremi Tinubu,” read a statement issued by the group.

“These unbecoming acts also remind us of his involvement in physical assault while serving as member of the federal house of representatives and also his penchant to assault his wives and several other behaviours traceable only to the motorparks.
“I wish to at this juncture state clearly that the these condemnable acts of Sen Melaye to us is an attempt to destroy the age long political, social and economic relationship existing between the Yorubas in Kogi and their kits and kin in the southwest. It is needless to count how much the Lagos political structure has accommodated our people.
“Today, we have our son, Hon Abiodun Faleke representing Lagos in House of Reps while another, Emmanuel Aguda is presently serving as local government administrator in Lagos and many others we can’t mention here. This is as a result of the spirit of brotherhood, love and solidarity extended to us.”
