Afolayan flares up as fan calls him ‘childish’

Kunle Afolayan, Nollywood actor and director, has criticised the review of the trailer of his forthcoming movie written by tns.ng, a Nollywood website.

The 41-year-old actor did not stop there as he got engaged in a battle of words with a female fan who advised him to “stop looking for enemies where there’s none”.

Afolayan, who recently released the trailer of his forthcoming movie, The CEO, took to his Twitter page on Friday to show his displeasure at the review written by the website

Minutes later, a female fan responded advising him to “take the criticisms in a stride”.

The comment did not go down well with the actor as he responded by branding her a talkative.

 

Not willing to let the statement go un-replied, she said he had “work to do on himself”.

The exchange of words ended with Afolayan blocking the fan.

January has definitely had its fair share of celebrity rancour with Twitter, social media platform playing host.

This is the first Nollywood rancour in 2016 although there were speculations about Chioma Akpotha, Uche Jombo and some of their colleagues having a disagreement on Thursday.

This occurred after Akpotha posted her picture on her Twitter page about sisters not being “real sisters”.

The speculations died down after Akpotha tweeted on Friday to make clarifications.

Afolayan who began his career in 2005 is the son of Adeyemi Josiah Afolayan, renowed Nigerian artist and producer popularly called Ade-Love.

He is popular for producing movies such as October 1 and Figurine.

The actor in an interview with thenet.ng in 2014 revealed his wish of working with actresses like Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Genevieve Nnaji.
