Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano state, says he will win the 2027 presidential election.

Kwankwaso, national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), spoke on Saturday when he inaugurated a renovated office of the party in Katsina state.

NAN quoted the former senator as saying that the NNPP is ready to take over the presidency and states when the general elections are held in 2027.

Kwankwaso said he and his followers left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because “it is dead”.

“I wish to remind you that PDP is already dead, because we were in the party, since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out,” he said.

The former governor of Kano said Nigerians should not be deceived by gifts or money during the next general election.

Kwankwaso said the renovation of the state’s secretariat is “part of preparations towards success”.

Armaya’u Abdulkadir, NNPP chair in Katsina, said the party in the state is doing everything possible to enlighten the electorate on the party’s new logo.

Abdulkadir said the new logo symbolises education for all, which is the main focus area of the Kwankwasiyya leader.

“There is the need for the party to embark on grassroots sensitisation to inform the members on the importance of the new logo,” he said.
