Kwara governor, Abdulfatah, sacks cabinet

Abdulfatah Ahmed, governor of Kwara state, has dissolved the state executive council less than three weeks to the commencement of his second term in office.

Ahmed also dissolved all boards of government-owned companies, parastatals, and organisations, other than those of statutory status.

“Commissioners are advised to handover government properties in their custody to their permanent secretaries, while heads of other MDAs must handover to the most senior officers in their establishment,” Sola Gold, secretary to the state government, said in a statement.

“Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed expresses sincere appreciation to all the affected political office holders for their immeasurable contributions to the success of his administration in the last four years and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
