Kwara United have relieved head coach John Obuh of his duties with immediate effect.
The Harmony Boys have only picked up a single win in their last five Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outings.
Sunday’s draw with El-Kanemi Warriors leaves them bottom of the table after 12 games.
“We have held a lot of talks in recent days, analysed our on-the-pitch development and discussed a great deal, and together with coach Obuh we have come to the conclusion that it is better for both sides to call an end to our collaboration,” a top official of the club told TheCable.

“The mutual and amicable end of our collaboration came after very open and honest discussions with him.
“After this difficult season, we need a new impulse and medium-term prospects of development which we didn’t have with this set-up.”
Obuh took over from Tunde Abdulrahman in 2016 and guided the team to the top flight after two seasons.

Meanwhile, the management of the Harmony Boys has agreed on personal terms with Abubakar Bala, former Niger Tornadoes gaffer.
The Flying Eagles assistant coach is believed to have turned down a “juicy” offer from Gombe United, opting to join Kwara United.
