Kwara United’s team bus was involved in an auto accident on Wednesday morning.
The accident took place along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, TheCable understands.
Some of the players sustained injuries and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

“There was no loss of lives. Nobody died, we have the case of five people sustaining series of injuries,” Gbenga Akinola, Kwara United physiotherapist, told TheCable.
“Everything is under control, hopefully all will be well.
“I won’t like to disclose the names of those injured for I am still in shock over the incident.”

The players were on their way back to Ilorin following the conclusion of the Bet9ja NNL Super 4 tournament in Lagos.
