The management of Kwara State University (KWASU) has approved relief packages for staff and students with disabilities in the school.

NAN reports that the information is contained in the institution’s circular dated March 4, 2024, and signed by Kikelomo Sallee, the school’s registrar.

According to the circular, staff with physical disabilities will receive monthly allowance of N50,000 and 100 percent increment in their official travel allowance, to cover the expenses of a guide for the official trip.

The circular stated that the implementation of this package took effect from January, 2024.

In a related development, the school’s authorities have approved N100,000 waiver from the tuition fee of all students with disabilities.

Staff and students with physical disabilities have been directed to send their details to the institution’s Disability Support Office for documentation purposes.
