Ogunwuyi Segun, a member of the house of representatives, from Oyo state, has defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Yusuf Lasun, the deputy speaker, announced the lawmaker’s defection during plenary on Thursday.
Segun, who represents Ogbomosho north/south/Orire federal constituency of Oyo, said he left the LP as a result of the division within the party.
The last defection in the house was on January 23, by Mayowa Akinfolarin, who left from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

About nine other lawmakers have switched over to either the PDP or the APC in the last one year.
