The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has extended the deadline for the 2025 hajj payment from January 31 to February 10.

Saheed Onipede, the board secretary, encouraged intending pilgrims to complete their hajj payment of N8,784,085.59 before the new deadline.

Onipede said the extension became necessary in acknowledgment of the current economic climate.

He said the decision was made to give Muslims more time to fulfil their religious obligation in Saudi Arabia.
