Lagos NMA to immortalise medical doctor who died in hospital elevator

The late Diaso Vwaere

The Lagos state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) says it will immortalise Diaso Vwaere, the medical doctor who died in an elevator.

Vwaere died on August 1, 2023, after an elevator fell from the 10th floor of the Lagos General Hospital while she was inside it.

In a statement on Thursday, NMA affirmed its commitment to ensure that Vwaere memories live on.

The association urged the Lagos state government to name the house officers’ quarters building at the General Hospital Odan after the late medical doctor.
