The Lagos state government has asked public and private schools to reopen for academic activities on Monday.
The government had asked pupils to stay at home after violence broke out in the state last Tuesday.
#EndSARS protests had intensified in the state — with protesters occupying the international airport and some public institutions — but hoodlums exploited the situation to set fire on properties and police stations.
In a statement on Thursday, Folasade Adefisayo, commissioner for education, said boarders in public schools can resume on Sunday, November 1.

“The Lagos State Government has approved the re-opening of schools for all classes in public and private schools across the State beginning from Monday, 2nd of November, 2020 while boarders in public schools are to resume on Sunday, 1st of the same month,” Adefisayo said.
Schools were previously closed for almost six months following the outbreak of COVID-19 in March.
