Lagos Talks 91.3 FM, the community-driven radio station, has celebrated its sixth anniversary with a town hall meeting on grassroots governance.
The town hall meeting, which is themed “bridging the gap between the governed and the government,” was held on August 25 at Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
The panellists at the event were Dele Oshinowo, the chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA; Femi Saheed, member house of assembly; and Kafilat Ogbara, commissioner at Lagos state audit commission/candidate Kosofe federal constituency.
The meeting was the culmination of a week-long community engagement which began on August 22 with the “Lagos City Activation” which saw representatives from the radio station situated in strategic locations in Lagos from the island to the mainland.

On August 23, an event tagged “Takeover” saw a live radio show at the Palms, Lekki, with on-air personalities (OAPs) presents. Guests such as Bukky George-Taylor was a co-host on ‘The Dish with Ify’ for the day.
On August 24, a free workshop was held in collaboration with the Ikoyi Obalende constituency and Jobberman. It allowed attendees to learn skills to help them search for jobs and establish themselves independently.
