Simon Lalong, governor of Plateau, has ordered a probe into the killing of a student of Plateau State Polytechnic (PSP) during a protest.
On Monday, students of the institution had taken to the streets to demonstrate against the postponement of their semester exams.
The development had come after lecturers at the polytechnic embarked on an indefinite strike to protest non-implementation of their demands.
The student was said to have been killed by a stray bullet after security operatives allegedly opened fire at the demonstrators who blocked major roads.
