Like Caitlyn is to Bruce Jenner, ‘Linda’ is to Charlie Boy

Charlie Boy weighed into the Bruce-Jenner-to-Caitlyn situation in a Facebook post titled ‘Through Linda I see’, where he revealed his feminine personality.

The controversial entertainer, who is never cowed from speaking his mind, gave his own perspective on gender identity. In support of Caitlyn, Charlie boy expressed his beliefs of a harmonious balance of male and female gender identity:

It is not one’s masculinity or femininity alone that defines one’s identity, it is the harmony between the two that determines how comfortable and integrated one’s identity is going to be. In other words, shocking as this may be to the more macho in our midst, inside some men, lies an unexpressed woman.

And even more shocking is the proposition that the object of masculine identity development is not the elimination of this woman, but acknowledging the existence of, and fine-tuning the feminine side with the masculine part of the identity. In other words, blending the two fundamental principles of yin and yang to influence our behaviour.

The “masculine woman” has become more socially acceptable than the “feminine man”, who is still an object of derision. And herein lies the root of the gender conflict. Women find it easy to pursue their masculinity; men find it disagreeable to even acknowledge, let alone pursue their femininity.

A few people have been able to find that balance and I am happy that Linda lives here, in me? Yesoooooo!

So to those of you in your personal pursuit for happiness whatever it is, climb every rainbow and follow every star till you find your dream.

Charlie Boy, at your age, you are still not serious. So if inside you, you discover an unexpressed feeling to go into armed robbery, you are free to express it by going into robbery, right?

By my own understanding what CB is saying is that beneath the men’s macho exterior is a hidden tenderness which women complement. And isn’t that the gospel truth? Or if not why then do the strongest and toughest of men buckle before a woman? And why are women often used to “penetrate” a man that is considered impenetrable by the menfolk? Truth be told: women are the weakness of men in the same way that men are the strength of women. That is one is incomplete without the other, especially when the two have become Soulmates like CB and his wife. It is a bonding that defies age or social status. It happens amongst the very rich (albeit uncommon), the middle class, and even much more strongly amongst the poor and uneducated! That is why it is common for families to condemn a man that “it is his wife that is controlling him”. That “control” which men concedes to women is the feminism in all men, and Charlie Boy is right on point in that!
