MORNING AFTER: Survivors, parents recount horrors of Kagara abductions

On a regular Thursday, Government Science College, Kagara, will be buzzing with activities — but today, silence reigns supreme.

The school, located in Rafi local government area of Niger state, was on Wednesday invaded by bandits who abducted 27 students, three staff members and 12 family members of the school staff.

Naturally, the school and others in Rafi, Mariga, Munya, and Shiroro local government areas of the state have been closed down, bringing learning to a screeching halt.

TheCable’s reporters are present on the scene to give readers an inside view of the college where normalcy departed from over 24 hours ago.
