Liverpool were presented with the English Premier League (EPL) champions trophy on Wednesday night at Anfield stadium and they celebrated their coronation with a thrilling 5-3 win over Chelsea.
The Reds started the goal fest in the 23rd minute through Naby Keita’s thunderous strike. The Guinean midfielder collected a loose ball, drove from midfield before unleashing the unstoppable 20-yard shot beyond Kepa Arizabalaga’s dive.
It was 2-0 fifteen minutes later through another well-taken free kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 21-year-old expertly curled above the wall and into the net with Chelsea keeper rooted to the spot.
Georgino Wijnaldum made it 3-0 on 43 minutes but Olivier Giroud scored two minutes later for a 3-1 halftime score line.

Goals continued to rain in the second period as Roberto Firmino made it 4-1 on 55 minutes — his first goal in Anfield this season. Chelsea, however, staged a mini-revival spearheaded by Christian Pulisic
The brilliant American winger, who came on as a substitute, dribbled past four Liverpool players before setting up Tammy Abraham for 4-2 on 61 minutes. He turned scorer twelve minutes later with his shot finding the top corner for 4-3.
Liverpool, however, stopped the comeback with a fifth goal by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the counter to seal a thrilling 5-3 win.
