Arsenal raised its game after the interval with Alexis Sanchez providing a sublime assist to Danny Welbeck who dinked the ball over Simon Mignolet to get his team on the scoresheet in the 56th minute.
Georginio Wijnaldum would eventually seal the victory for Liverpool in stoppage time.
The defeat is a big blow to Arsenal’s hope of finishing in the top four.

With the defeat at Anfield, Arsenal is now fifth on the log while Liverpool has moved to the third spot.
