Barclays Premier League side, Liverpool FC, have posted a message of condolence to the Adelaide Crows following the tragic death of coach Phil Walsh.
The 55-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds at his family’s South Australian home at 2am on Friday.
He died at the scene, despite the efforts of ambulance paramedics. His wife Meredith suffered a leg injury.
Walsh’s 26-year-old son Cy has been charged with murder and was taken for a psychiatric assessment in hospital.

Liverpool are set to head to the Crows’ home ground, Adelaide Oval, to play A-League side Adelaide United in a pre-season friendly later this month.
“Liverpool Football Club send their condolences to the family, friends and all associated with the Adelaide Crows Australian Rules Football team, following the death of their head coach, Phil Walsh this morning. The Adelaide Crows grace the Adelaide Oval, where we will be playing in two weeks’ time,” a club statement said.
Minute’s silences in honour of Walsh were observed in the Australian Football League (AFL) games across the country on Friday.

While there were calls to cancel the entire AFL games, all matches will go ahead with the exception of Adelaide’s clash with Geelong on Sunday afternoon, with the points split between the two teams.
Liverpool’s tour of Australia will see them play Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on July 17th, before heading to South Australia to play United at Adelaide Oval on Monday the 20th.
