President Muhammadu Buhari met with Senate President Bukola Saraki at the presidential villa, Abuja, on Friday.
This is the third time both men are meeting since last week when the senate rejected the executive’s $29.9bn foreign loan request.
Saraki met with the president for two hours after Jumat prayers, but the purpose of his visit was not disclosed to journalists.
On Wednesday, the senate president met with Buhari shortly after the president met with members of the southeast caucus of the senate led by Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president.

Also, last Friday, after meeting with Buhari he pleaded with Nigerians not to politicise the rejection of the loan request by the upper legislative chamber.
The senate had also rejected the medium term expenditure framework submitted to it for approval, describing it as “empty”.
