Lotus Bank announces partnership with Inter Lagos FC to empower football talents

Lotus Bank has entered a strategic partnership with Inter Lagos FC to “promote community development and grassroots football”.

The partnership, signed last month, will enable the bank to provide the club with financial backing, “empowering it to continue its rise in domestic and international football”.

Kafilat Araoye, the managing director and CEO of Lotus Bank, emphasised the partnership’s significance and reiterated the bank’s commitment to “empower communities and drive long-term growth”.

“At LOTUS Bank, we are committed to fostering sustainable development through strategic partnerships that empower communities and drive long-term growth. Football, like most sports, is a powerful tool for youth engagement, economic opportunity, and social cohesion,” Araoye said.

On his part, Lanre Vigo, Inter Lagos FC’s co-founder and CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the alignment between both brands.

The partnership comes after Inter Lagos won the Lagos FA Cup in a thrilling final against Ikorodu City FC. After a goalless draw in regular time, Inter Lagos triumphed in a 5-4 penalty shootout.
