With five housemates out already, the tension keeps rising and the seats keep getting hot as each housemate waits in anticipation of who would be the next to leave, everyone threading carefully and hoping with all they’ve got that the housemates would keep them intact.
Regardless of the competition, it has been fun so far with Tayo becoming a dad and Mira (now out) nearly having BBA hotshot’s first sex.
Here are the five interesting events that unfolded int he house this week.
M’AM BEAM AND SAM GET FIRST BIG BROTHER STRIKE
Samantha and M’am Bea have committed the abominable and are receiving the inevitable. Both ladies received their first strike for breaching Big Brother’s rules. Their offence? Revealing whom they nominated in the diary room. Having made a pledge before entering the house to abide by all rules and to be punished should they falter, the ladies awaited what was to befall them.

According to the rule, “The Three Strikes Rule will be applicable to housemates who commit serious infringements. Should Big brother issue a strike, it will be made very clear to fellow housemates and the viewers, as Big Brother would announce it. The strikes will be displayed on the video wall at Big Brother’s discretion to keep the housemates and viewers up to date”.
Luckily, of the three-strike rule, it was their first strike. In response, Big Brother threatened that should they conspire again or break any of the Three Strikes Rules, they would be issued with more strikes and would eventually be disqualified from the game if they received two more strikes.
LUIS THREATENS TO LEAVE BBA HOUSE
Luis had his bags packed already; he couldn’t take it anymore, and he wanted to leave. What with the exit of his newfound love, Mira.

Luis had slept outside of the house at one time and in the morning had rung the bell to the diary room to tell Biggie that he wanted to leave the house. Going to his rescue and probably to get his head back into the game, JJ and Idris quickly went over to Luis, who had been sitting outside the diary room, to have a heart to heart talk with him. Later in the day, he became calm and accepted breakfast served to him.
The gents reminded themselves to be there for one another and avoid actions that would make them as vulnerable as Luis had been, blaming themselves also for the neglect they had shown towards him when he came to talk to them.
SHEILA GOES BALD
Yes, you read it right. Beautiful Sheila, who came into the house with a lustrous mane, has shaved it all off. Big Brother introduced the Hotshots to South African hairstylist Jawad Maphoto, who works with top celebrities – including Boity Thulo, Pearl Thusi and Poppy Ntshongwana – and has featured in leading local and international magazines, to help housemates with their hairstyle concepts and how to make them work for the runway.
The hotshots were asked to learn as much as they could from the task and the expert help. In preparation for the task, housemates put the final touches on their designs and paraded around in their newly-styled attire.

The housemates had their hair styled by Jawad, incorporating their designs as he went along. Ellah and Samantha both sported long locks; M’am Bea, a stylist herself, eagerly shared her story and design notes with Jawad; Frankie and JJ, with no hair to work with, donned wigs; Nhlanhla turned stylist inside and shaved all of Sheillah’s hair off, leaving her practically bald.
ELLAH THINKING OF MINGLING AS SHE TURNS 24
Ellah recently turned 24 in the house and the least of her problems is her age.
Soon after the celebration was over, Ellah settled down near the Jacuzzi and started lamenting about her begotten state of being single. Just last week, she had a similar conversation with Sabina (who was evicted last week Sunday) whilst lying on Kacey Moore’s chest.
The broad was ranting about being single and not having a partner, adding that she worried about when her partner would come, as she also needed time to investigate and assess the character. Idris, having been nearby eavesdropping, seized the open opportunity by lending a listening ear. The two were later seen to be having a heart to heart, with the lad singing for her.

NOMINATIONS FOR EVICTIONS
Following the last eviction, Big Brother had the housemates in the diary room again, voting one another to leave the housemate during the next eviction, without as much as breather to mourn over the exit of the previous housemates.
The housemates trooped in one by one to reveal whom they’d put up next for eviction and so far, Laveda and Nhlanla are leading the pack. Here’s a summary of the nominations:
