This must be the best of times for Lupita Nyong’o.
Kenya’s fast-rising global star, Lupita, who won an Oscar in January for her first movie, 12 Years of a Slave, has added another feat to her list of swelling accolades: the cover of renowned US fashion magazine, Vogue.
Barely some weeks ago, Walt Disney revealed that Lupita will be joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII as the first black woman on the make-believe galaxy.
Lupita also auctioned and bought the film rights for Chimamanda Adichie’s novel, Americanah which she will also star in.

The actress is profiled in the magazine’s July 2014 issue, reaching yet another milestone in her career.
Nyong’o is already at work on Star Wars: Episode VII, and she has a few other projects in the pipeline. Certainly, the world ought to watch out for Lupita.
