Ibrahim Magu, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), says President Muhammadu Buhari has given him the mandate to investigate corrupt leaders, “irrespective of political affiliation”.
Speaking in Kaduna on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the National Union of Textiles and Garment Tailoring Workers of Nigeria (NUTGTWN), the anti-graft czar said the current administration’s fight against corruption is well structured.
“We have cause to investigate and in fact we are investigating even those that are in government without them knowing,” he said.
“Not only that, the president has given me the mandate to investigate every corrupt Nigerian leader irrespective of his political affiliation.

“The fight against corruption is designed and structured to boost confidence in the economy as well as to attract investors both within and outside the country.”
Magu said with the political will demonstrated by Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, the country will win the fight against corruption.

Including him and yourself I should presume. Please do not forget to make the report of the probe public for transparency purposes. Thanks
I love that. Am passionate to see them all brought book. But what about those corrupt people in his cabinet and or, those in the past administration before Jonathan administration. I see this as denigration and destruction of Jonathan hard earned democratic leadership quality, except, the un checked looting of public treasury in his government. Get everybody involved in ur anti-corruption war. And stop making it personal and stop making jonathan administration the sole victim of the anti-corruption war.
We would like to know the era this anti corrupt measures is starting from regardless of the political affiliations of individuals concerned as mentioned by the current IFCC Boss.
