Mama Africa set for October 1 release

The well-anticipated satiric movie, Mama Africa, produced by one of Nollywood’s best and chairman of the Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria (FVPMAN), Lagos, is set to be released on October 1, 2014.

The high-budget movie featuring Zack Orji, Livinus Nnochiri, Tonto Dikeh, Frank Artus, Chigozie Atuanya, Berlinda Effah and others is a movie rich in morals, adventure, intrigues, suspense and action.

Mama Africa is an exposé on the goings-on in the corridors of power, how the ruling minority controls the lives of the masses, trampling even on their human rights at will.

The movie tells the story of how 500 children die from the use of a fake vaccine, while the poor and needy are locked up in a military detention camp without any hope of food or freedom when they were to be kept in a rehabilitation home.

Meanwhile, the rich and wealthy embezzle the society’s collective resources and are celebrating, while the poor and needy rot away in poverty. The oppression of the poor continues until Nathan (played by Zack Orji), a courageous and selfless human rights activist steps into the picture, giving up his life, family and freedom in a bid to save his motherland.

Directed by Ubaka Joseph Ugochukwu, Mama Africa is the movie to watch out for.
