Man killed by kidnappers of Jonathan’s ‘father’ buried

Samuel Oki, a relative of Inengite Nitabai, foster father of former President Goodluck Jonathan, who was kidnapped on February 17, was buried in Otuoke in Bayelsa state on Friday.

The remains of the deceased were found some days after both men were abducted.

Jonathan attended the funeral alongside Azibapu Eruani, former commissioner for health and chairman of Azikiel Construction Company.

Promise Ekio, permanent secretary, special duties, government house, Ariolor Jonathan, an aide of the former president and Elisabeth Oki, personal physician to the former President.

Paul Igbogamini, a family member, said he was sad over the demise of Oki, urging relatives and well-wishers to stay calm and leave everything to God.

“No amount of tears can bring this our brother back, vengeance is of the Lord, He knows everything, I believe his death will not go in vain,” he said.
