The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reportedly killed many fighters of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Marte LGA of Borno state.

The insurgents were killed during an airstrike conducted by Nigeria Air Force (NAF) under the operation hadin kai on Sunday.

Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency publication, reports that the air strike destroyed the logistics hub of the terrorists at Arina in Marte LGA.

The publication said intelligence reports revealed suspicious movements and large gathering of terrorists at the location.

The source said the airstrikes targeted terrorists’ logistics, and structures, which dealt a major blow to the operational capabilities of the insurgents.

“The precision airstrikes effectively neutralized many ISWAP fighters and disrupted their logistics chain in the area. The operation further weakens the group’s ability to launch attacks on civilian and military targets,” the publication said.

Recently, NAF killed scores of bandits in air strikes in Zamfara state.
