Dino Melaye, lawmaker representing Kogi west senatorial district, says the move to recall him from the upper legislative chamber will land many people in jail.
The lawmaker said this in response to reports that files of signatures of voters in his district had been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“It can not succeed. It is a hoax and absolute comedy of errors. I’m laughing at the stupidity of kogi state government,” he tweeted on Wednesday.
“Many appointees will go to jail for forgery. Even dead people’s names on the recall register.

“A governor who does not know what double registration is may not as well know the procedure for recall. Every lie has an expiry date.
“This comedy of errors will soon end. No shaking at all. This won’t solve the problem of not paying salaries for over 15 months. No retreat no surrender. Truth is my only defence.”

instead of facing the problem of Kogi west interest in upper chamber no he is either fighting this person today or other tomorrow even if the state Governor mastermind the recall he create the opportunity for the Governor tell us which project you have done since you assume office the state governor might have his own lapses but blame your self for this you have a certificate scandal this is true u fight your fellow Senate member who happen to be a female you fight when you are in lower chamber you insult president Buhari who create the opportunity for you in that Senate today
Dino meleye,is a big fish, you can’t cash him
Your comment..Is Melaye a mad man to be fighting everybody ? I do not know why Nigerian a times do not like the truth. So fellow Kogites, non of you is seeing what he is saying ? He can not be recalled.
It’s rather pathetic that Sen Dino Melaye is truncating his senatorial tenure and probably his political career in a most disgraceful manner.
Unknown to him worldover , Nigerians are praying fervently and already rejoicing his massively supported recall.
The embarassments he has caused the Nation far surpasses Governor Bello’s inability to pay salaries, afterall he is not the only one owing. Even individual homes are indebted one way or the other, The Federal Republic of Nigeria is also indebted to the world bank. Don’t get it twisted, I am not in any way in support of non-payment of staff salaries, however people like Dino need quit the stage for qualitative minds to assume genuinely patriotic servitude of their fatherland.
Please when is the bye-election slated for ?
