Kabiru Marafa, immediate past senator representing Zamfara central, says the claim that the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has been resolved is false.
The in-fighting in the APC in Zamfara led to the disqualification of the party from participating in the 2019 governorship election.
The supreme court voided the votes secured by the APC in the state on the basis that the party did not hold valid congresses in the state to elect party executive council members and candidates for the elections.
While Marafa belongs to one faction, Abdulaziz Yari, former Zamfara governor, belongs to another.

On Tuesday, Yekini Nabena, deputy APC spokesman, said the Buni-led caretaker committee has “substantially” reconciled the factions in Zamfara.
However, a statement released on Thursday claimed that Marafa was not contacted by the committee for any peace meeting.
According to him, the panel has lost its integrity and its members should either resign or be sacked.

“With this statement, the committee has deflated the trust and confidence reposed in it, by misleading the public with the claim that it has resolved the crises in the states mentioned,” he said.
“The committee has lost its integrity and its members should therefore resign or be sacked.
“This is nothing but a wicked lie. I pray that the committee is not on a mission to destroy the party completely.
“They have not done anything and have not contacted anybody; either by phone or letter, formally or informally.”
