David Mark, president of the senate, has appealed to Boko Haram to sheathe its sword and come to the negotiating table.
Mark, making the appeal on Wednesday in his opening remarks on the floor of the senate, urged the government to use all its resources to crush Boko Haram while waiting for the sect to come to the negotiating table.
“We appeal to Boko Haram to come to the negotiating table,” he said.
“In the mean time, the armed forces must bring its full weight to bear on the terrorists. The killing of students in Potiskum is just the height of it.”
