Bello Matawalle, the minister of state for defence, says security agencies will deal with anyone who attempts to cause trouble during the November 11 off-cycle polls in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states.

Matawalle spoke on Thursday in Abuja in an interview with journalists.

He said the military would be available in the states where the election would be held.

The minister assured voters that nothing would happen to them during the elections.

“Adequate arrangements have been made for security agencies to deal decisively with any noise maker and anyone who wants to cause trouble or crises during the elections,” NAN quoted Matawalle as saying.

“The military will be available, ’24/7′, for anyone who wants to contact them.

“I, particularly, will be in the office within the period of the election so as to ensure safety in the three states. We shall protect the people.
