Mavin’s ‘Dorobucci’ branded occult? That’s paranoia!

Nigerian music fans are at it again! Award-winning Mavin crew has been put under intense (undue, or is it not?) scrutiny over their hit song, Dorobucci, with some branding it occult.

One of these critics took the claim a little further by spreading a post stating the unfathomable reasons why Mavin‘s Dorobucci is an occult song.

According to the post, “Doro” is the name of a god (in which part of the world, I ask?) and “bucci” is referred to mean “bu Chi”, which means “is God” in Igbo language.

There may be logic to that way of thinking or maybe the author just has a lame Nigerian or African mindset.

In response to the post, Don Jazzy said: “Lol. Okay, some very sad people have been sending this around. Eyaaa pele. Things like this are what make me so sure that all that illuminati crap about some Yankee artistes is just BS. Lol. Oh, well.. #Mavin”

It is quit appalling how some persons are quick to attempt to undervalue one’s creative outputs, and some persons are quick to swallow these opinions hook, line and sinker.

Some even go further by spreading malicious posts on different social media platforms and encourage others to share or rebroadcast it. Here’s one:

I keep asking, what evidence do they have, because you can’t take a man to court without a proof of your accusation. In which language is “Doro” the name of a god, because it is certainly not Igbo? And how do you identify that someone is a member of the supposed occult, “Illuminati’?

If these questions cannot be answered in verifiable and intelligent manner, then this is it: it’s a known fact that success always comes with envy and sometimes undue criticisms, which is why the word “hater” was coined.
