Med-View Airline on Friday morning began commercial flight operations on the Lagos-London route.
The inaugural flight had Muneer Bankole, the airline’s managing director, on board.
The 767-300ER aircraft, christened ‘Abeke’, took off from the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos en-route Gatwick Airport in London.
The airline’s media consultant, Obuke Eyibotha, told NAN before the departure of the aircraft that the airline was committed to sustaining flight operations on the new route.

He said the airline was on the Lagos-London route to represent Nigeria as a flag carrier and also to supply the missing link for air travellers.
Eyibotha said the airline, apart from its reasonable fares, had put in place some innovations to enhance customer care.
The airline is beginning operations on the route with four weekly flights.

According to Med-View, it will operate the London flights on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
