President Muhammadu Buhari is back in Abuja, a day before he was scheduled to return from his medical trip to the United Kingdom.
He was expected back on Saturday but the plane which brought him back into the country touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 6:47pm on Friday.
On hand to receive him were Abba Kyari, his chief of staff; Mohammed Bello, minister of the federal capital territory, and other top government functionaries.
In a statement he released on Monday, Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, said on his return, the president would embark on a two-day visit to Jigawa state.

The visit was earlier postponed earlier as a result of the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress.
The President had left Nigeria late Tuesday evening after receiving letters of credence from some diplomats.
This medical is not the first in 2018 alone, the first being the nine days visit before the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in the UK.
