Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi West, on Wednesday declared himself a “private investigator” and “anti-corruption person”.
Melaye said his delight lies in investigating corruption in the system, and building a new Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, the senator said the on-going investigation into the alleged N25 billion Treasury Single Account (TSA) commission is a product of issues he raised on the floor of the senate.
“I am a private investigator if you follow my trend, you will know that I am an anti-corruption person and I take delight in investigating and finding out the leakages and corruption in our system in a way to build a new Nigeria of our dream,” he said.

“I do not have the capability, capacity or powers to individually investigate any government institution, but by presenting primary fact to the senate, the senate will constitute a body that is relevant and proper investigation will be carried.
“As legislators what we do is like whistle blowing and when you blow your whistle you may not get 100 percent, but at least it will be a lead.”
