Messi snubbed as Salah battles Ronaldo, Modric for FIFA best player award

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah is among the final three nominees for the 2018 FIFA best men’s player award.

Lionel Messi failed to make the final three-man list despite being part of the initial 10 nominees.

Salah, the third African player to be shortlisted, is nominated alongside Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Egyptian helped Liverpool to the UEFA Champions League final in his maiden season.
