John Mikel Obi, Super Eagles captain, has been linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig outfit, Fenerbache.
Mikel cancelled his contract with Chinese club, Tianjin Teda, on Thursday.
According to L’equipe, the 31-year-old refused to go with the Chinese outfit on their pre-season training in Spain.
He was said to have subsequently announced his departure from the club.

Mikel, who made 31 appearances for Tianjin Teda, was recruited by the club in January 2017.
The Nigerian midfielder has attracted Fenerbahçe who are looking to bolster their midfield options during the January transfer window.
The former Chelsea midfielder is yet to play for Nigeria since the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. He has made 85 appearances for the country.
