John Mikel Obi, one of the two over-aged players in Nigeria’s football team to the Olympics, has joined the Under-23 team at their Atlanta base.
Mikel is being tipped to merge captain of the team, due to his experience.
He was absent at the Olympic games soccer championship in 2008 when he had a strained relationship with then Coach Samson Siasia, who is also the coach of the current Dream Team.
The football tournament of the Olympics starts on August 3, 2016.
