The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGJM), a militant group, claims it has blown up an oil pipeline of the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) in Delta state.
This attack is coming a few days after the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), another militant group, resumed attacks on oil installations, citing an impasse in its dialogue with the government as the reason for the renewed hostilities.
In August, the NDA declared a ceasefire following talks with the government. But it eventually breached the truce.
Other militant groups have since emerged, one of them being NDGJM.

“As a mark of our commitment to a just cause and to prove to the wicked and ungrateful multinational oil companies and their Nigerian military allies, who have been forcefully taking our natural endowment, without any visible returns, that we own our lands, the Opudo Strike Team of the Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate, at about 01. 00 hour today, 29th Sept 2016, bombed the Unenurhie-Evwreni delivery line in ughelli south/north respectively operated by NPDC,” he said.
