The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has called for dialogue to tackle the country’s security challenges.
Gidado Siddiki, south-east zonal chairman of MACBAN, stated this in a Sallah message on Wednesday.
He said the Sallah celebration should be an opportunity for Nigerians to pray for an end to “suspicion and antagonism” in the country, adding that there is a need for citizens to also be more tolerant.
He urged agitators and secessionist groups in parts of the country to embrace peace and refrain from attacking citizens and public infrastructure.

Siddiki also expressed optimism that the security challenges, which has affected some businesses, will soon come to an end.
“We implore Nigerians to continue with their known perseverance and tolerance and pray that the spirit of Sallah prevails and heals the nation of the reign of mutual suspicion and antagonism,” he said.
“I wish the entire Nigerian Muslim Ummar a happy Sallah,” he added.
