A police officer has reportedly sustained serious injuries following a mob attack.
The officer was transporting hard drugs seized from a suspect to the station in Jos North LGA of Plateau state when he was ambushed and pummelled.
Zagazola Makama, the counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, said the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday.
Makama said two police officers from ‘C’ Division had relied on credible intelligence to apprehend a suspect found in possession of hard drugs around Polo roundabout.
