Two unidentified men have been incinerated by a mob at the Igando axis of Lagos state for allegedly robbing a POS attendant.
In a tweet posted by Benjamin Hundeyin, police spokesperson in Lagos, he said the incident happened around 3pm on Saturday at hotel bus stop along Iseri-Igando road in the state.
Hundeyin said the men were burnt beyond recognition, while the mob fled after committing the crime.
He added that the police have begun investigations into the matter.

“Yesterday, at Igando, two men allegedly robbed a POS attendant. A mob descended on them and set them ablaze; burnt beyond recognition. Police arrived but the mob had fled,” Hundeyin said.
He added that the bodies have been deposited at the mortuary.

The development comes two months after three suspected motorcycle thieves were set ablaze by a mob in Ayobo area of the state.
Also, in May, two unidentified men were burnt to death by a mob at Ijesha axis of Lagos over alleged theft of mobile phones.

The suspects were said to have been found with 18 mobile phones, which were suspected to be stolen items.
