Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation, has led heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference and workshop in Las Vegas, United States of America (USA).
The event, which will run from April 5 to 9, has the theme, ‘The technology, the trend, the future’.
The conference will cover a range of topics, including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud visualisation, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming.
In a statement issued on Monday, Suleiman Haruna, director of public relations and protocol at the ministry of information and national orientation, said the conference would strengthen Nigeria’s broadcast collaborations and also offer delegates partnership opportunities.

Members of the delegation include, Salihu Dembos, director-general of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA); Muhammed Ali, managing director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN); Charles Ebuebu, director-general of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC); Lekan Fadolapo, director-general of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON); and Jibrin Ndace, director-general the of Voice of Nigeria (VON).
“The NAB conference, which attracts thousands of industry leaders from around the world, offers a unique opportunity for the Nigerian delegation to explore new partnerships, engage in content-sharing initiatives, and gain valuable insights into emerging trends and technological innovations,” the statement reads.
Haruna added that the conference would strengthen Nigeria’s broadcasting sector by fostering training programmes, and driving technological progress in the industry.
