Mohammed Isa: FG’s PWD project will create 36,551 jobs

Mohammed Isa, senior special assistant to President Bola Tinubu on special needs and equal opportunities, says the ‘Beyond Disability Project’ will generate 36,551 job opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs). 

In a tweet via his X account, Isa said the project will be launched on July 22.

He said the current administration is committed to ensuring an inclusive society for all Nigerians.

“Beyond disability project is dedicated to harnessing the talents of PWDs, supporting their education and creating awareness about their rights,” he said.

“The beyond disability project aims to empower over 5,000 talented persons with disabilities through talent and skill development and has the capacity to generate over 36,551 job opportunities for PWDs in Nigeria at the implementation stage.

“Everyone deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their abilities.”

He said through the project, the federal government aims to provide mentorship programmes for PWDs in their chosen fields of endeavour.

Isa called for the collaboration of relevant stakeholders to create a society that values and includes everyone, regardless of their abilities.
