‘More years of impactful living’ — Abdulrazaq hails Issa-Onilu, ex-APC spokesperson, on birthday

AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, governor of Kwara, has congratulated Lanre Issa-Onilu, a former spokesperson of All Progressives Congress (APC), on the occasion of his birthday.

Abdulrazaq commended Issa-Onilu for his commitment to progressive politics and the development of Kwara state.

“On behalf of the people and government of Kwara state, the governor joins family, friends and the media fraternity to celebrate Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu,” the governor was quoted in a statement by Rafiu Ajakaye, his chief press secretary.

“His excellency commends the former spokesman of the ruling APC for everything he does for the growth of his community and young people who continue to receive his mentorship as well as his constant support for the administration.

“The governor beseeches Almighty Allah to grant Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu many more years of impactful living in good health and fulfilment of his dreams.”

In October 2018, Issa-Onilu became the national publicity secretary of APC.

Issa-Onilu has worked as a journalist for 15 years and is a specialist in strategic public communications planning.

He is a graduate of mass communication from the University of Lagos and holds a master’s in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University, US.

He was an assistant editor of Sunday ThisDay. Before he joined ThisDay, he was a news editor at the Comet Newspapers.

Issa-Onilu is a corporate member of the International Communications Conference (ICC) at the Baruch College State University of New York, US. He is also an associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and an associate member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

He has written many papers on crisis communication and public communication among other topics.
