ISAAC SUCCESS
The story of Isaac Success is very different from that of Kelechi Iheanacho, for the out-going year. Before Iheanacho shone at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Dubai in 2013, it was Isaac Success that was the big potential – until an injury ended his tournament.
On July 1, 2016, Success agreed a five-year deal with Watford in a record transfer fee, estimated around £12.5 million from Granada. He got his first call-up to the senior Nigeria side for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in October 2016.
But it was not a great year for Success, as the season didn’t exactly click for him. His two goals in four games for the Nigerian national U-20 team remain his last national team appearances.
