Victor Moses sustained an injury as Crystal Palace won their first game of the season by beating Chelsea 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles came into the game without a goal or a point from any of their first seven outings, but Wilfried Zaha’s strike on the stroke of half-time earned them a shock win over Chelsea.

Yohan Cabaye scored Crystal Palace’s first league goal of the season in the 11th minute courtesy of poor defending from Chelsea.

Chelsea equalised in the 18th minute through Tiemoue Bakayoko’s header into the right-hand side of the net.

Moses picked up what looked like a hamstring injury in the 38th minute and was replaced by Davide Zappacosta in the 40th minute.

Wilfried Zaha got Palace ahead again in the 45th minute when Mamadou Sakho bustled Willian off the ball and played a through pass to the Ivorian who kept his cool to slot the ball home.

The defeat is Chelsea’s third of the season after eight games.
