Nigerian, Victor Moses, was lively as Chelsea avenged their early-season defeat in the hands of Arsenal with an emphatic 3-1 win victory at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Arsenal started the game with purpose and intensity but a lapse in concentration defensively cost them early on as Chelsea took the lead through Marcos Alonso’s controversial goal.
Although Arsenal could have equalised, they failed to take their chances.
Diego Costa, who didn’t have a fantastic game, saw his first half attempt hit the bar in the 13th minute.

The other Nigerian on the pitch, Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi, was mostly subdued, as well as the other attackers in his side.
Chelsea’s airtight and compact midfield was simply too much for Iwobi and company to handle.
In the second half, it was all Chelsea as the Blues bullied Arsenal players in every area of the pitch.

The relentless pressing and tackles would eventually pay off.
In the 53rd minute, Eden Hazard won the ball just inside his own half and set off towards goal. He swerved away from Laurent Koscielny, held off Francis Coquelin and kept moving towards the goalpost.
Koscielny got back but Hazard dribbled past him in the penalty box and looped the ball over Cech from close range to extend Chelsea’s lead.
But that was not the end of Arsenal’s woes.

In the 85th minute, Paulista Gabriel threw the ball back to Cech, who tried to clear it with his left foot.
But he hit it straight to Francesc Fabregas, who controlled the ball and lobbed it into the open net from 25 yards to make it Chelsea 3-0 Arsenal.
Olivier Giroud scored a consolation goal for the visitors in the 90th minute when he headed Nacho Monreal’s cross past Thibaut Courtois but the damage had already been done.
