Moses Simon, Super Eagles forward, has signed a four year deal with FC Nantes of France.
In a statement on Monday, the Ligue 1 side said the club exercised the buy out option from La Liga’s Levante to purchase the 24-year-old Nigerian international for €5 million.
The former KAA Gent of Belgium player has netted nine goals and provided eight assists in 30 games in all competitions for Nantes before the season was cancelled by the French government due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Loaned this season to the Yellow and Green, the Nigerian international will be linked to the Erdre Banks Club until 2024, from July 1, 2020. He has been instrumental throughout this season. Most prolific offensive player (9 goals and 8 assists, all competitions), Moses Simon quickly adapted to French football, causing a lot of damage in the opposing defenses!
“A versatile player! Fast, punchy and technical, he quickly proved to be to his advantage in the left lane of the yellow and green attack but also as a center-forward. Stirring and very skilful in front of the goal, it turned out to be a real offensive solution for Christian Gourcuff.
“He is comfortable with the right foot as well as the left foot, the one who has played 30 matches this season under the Nantes colour, has therefore not finished making FC Nantes fans vibrate! They have also greatly appreciated the performances delivered by the Nigerian international (30 selections) since they recently made him, “The Canary of the season” with more than 40% of the votes!”
Simon was voted FC Nantes player of the 2019/20 season by fans of the Canaries.
