Work and Play, one of the biggest motorsport promoters in the country, added colour and fun to the recent 2020 new yam festival held at Ilara-mokin in Ondo state.
Adeoye Ojuoko, the company’s head, said the group had built a growing interest and fan base for motorsport around Nigeria, especially in Ilara-mokin community that has played host to several motorsport outings since 2017.
“Ilara-mokin has hosted on-road and off-road races with top race drivers across the country attending, which culminated in our building the first off-road track at Elizade Smokin Hills Resort in Ondo State, and has been attested to be one of the most challenging in the country,” Ojuoko said.
“Our long term plan incorporates this sort of partnerships, and Ilara-mokin as a great host to our activities deserves to earn our partnership.”

Drivers from last year’s premium event, including Argo Raak, who won the off-road race, also participated in the event.
Others include Kingsley Uwatse, the jeep ambassador on the track, and Antonio Sandouk, 2017 winner of the on road race.
Representatives of the Ondo state government at the event commended Work and Play for its role in sustaining local festivals and driving internal tourism to the state.
